Schluter DITRA-HEAT Peel & Stick Membrane
Schluter-DITRA-HEAT-PS is a peel and stick membrane that features a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) to bond the membrane to the substrate, eliminating the need for thin-set mortar.
Features
- Pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) whichs bonds the membrane to the substrate, eliminating the need for thin-set mortar
- Quick and easy to install, DITRA-HEAT-PS integrates customizable, comfortable electric floor warming with the same functions associated with DITRA-HEAT
- Provides electric floor warming for use beneath tile, stone, or other resilient floor coverings (e.g. LVT)
- Uncoupling, waterproofing*, vapor management, and load support to ensure a long-lasting tile installation
- Self-leveling compounds are not required to encapsulate the cables into the membranes
- Stud structure of DITRA-HEAT-PS is specifically designed to allow for the easy installation of DITRA-HEAT-E-HK heating cables
- Comes in two sizes: 8.4 sq ft (0.78 m2) sheet and 134.5 sq ft (12.5 m2) roll
- 8.4 sq ft sheet dimensions: 3' 2-5/8" x 2' 7-3/8" (0.98 m x 0.80 m = 0.78 m2)
- 134.5 sq ft roll dimensions: 3' 2-5/8" x 41' 10-3/4" (0.98 m x 12.76 m = 12.5 m2)
How To Use
- Simply remove the transparent release film from the fleece side of the membrane to expose the layer of adhesive, and embed into substrate
- Apply peel and stick membrane to the floor, fleece/adhesive side down. Solidly embed the matting into the substrate using a float, screed trowel, or DITRA-ROLLER
- Abut adjacent sheets and align the studs on the top of the matting to make subsequent heating cable installation easier
- No thin-set required to install membrane means a faster and easier installation
- The membrane can easily be repositioned until pressure is exerted
- Self-leveling compounds are not required to encapsulate the cables into the membranes
- If application area requires a membrane that meets or exceeds requirements of ANSI A118.10, please refer to thin-set versions of DITRA-HEAT and DITRA-HEAT-DUO
- Alternatively, the DITRA-HEAT-PS or DITRA-HEAT-DUO-PS membranes may be covered with the Schluter-KERDI membrane, which is certified to meet ANSI A118.10
